When the book is printed, the customer receives a printed and bound book to their specifications. The author or publisher then retains full rights to the intellectual property of the book.
This could be an order for one or many books, depending on the capabilities of the printer. In the case of book printing, the author or publisher who requests the printing job pays the book printer to produce the book. While the publisher retains the rights to a book once it's released, the printer’s job is done as soon as a book is printed. Blurb’s BookWright could be a good choice for amateur photographers or anyone looking to print a series of books.Book printers print and bind your book, while book publishers are focused on owning the intellectual property of your book itself.

We also liked that Blurb allows you to upload a PDF to create your book, and that it offers plug-ins for Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. BookWright reminded us a great deal of Photoshop or InDesign, so if you’ve used those programs before, you may be familiar with the added controls. On the other hand, BookWright, the downloadable software, offers a huge range of design options, including layouts and fonts, with very little glitching (but still no spell-check). We couldn’t paste text into the box without receiving an error message this was especially frustrating because Bookify does not offer spell-check. We also experienced major glitches with captions. We were disappointed with the options available in Bookify there were very few layouts, and they had too much white space for our liking.

We made two books with Blurb-one with its web-based software Bookify and another with its downloadable software BookWright. We didn’t make this option a requirement, but we gave extra points if a service offered it.

Though layflat spreads sound fancy, they’re a common offering from photo-book services and a worthwhile upgrade in photography or wedding books.
Flexibility in design: For the more-ambitious among us, a good photo-book service should allow you to design a layout from scratch.
You should never feel the need to create your own design.

Intuitive photo-book software: The editing tools should be intuitive for all people, not just Photoshop geniuses or professional photographers. The service should work both for photo junkies and for people who just want to make a wedding album. Customization options: The best photo book will strike the right balance between offering a creative, diverse range of editing options and a dizzying, overwhelming range.
